Dasvant is a noncommercial showcase for us to exhibit the work we have shot/done/distorted. It's our turn to get behind the camera. Sorry for the the glitches and mistakes.

Dasvant is derived from the word das[u]vant in Hittite language. It means blind. We have chosen it as a title for its obvious irony and as a small tribute to the cultural heritage of the land on which we live.

Dream of the Endless

posted on 06.03.2012

Dream, aka Sandman, aka Morpheus. The Lord of Dreams. The main protagonist of The Sandman, a comic book series written by Neil Gaiman. He describes Dream as "a man, young, pale [...] deathly thin, with long dark hair, and strange eyes."

The Sandman ran for 75 issues from January 1989 until March 1996. Illustrators varied, illustrations varied, the image of Dream changed. The overall appearance, however, fits Neil Gaiman's description; pale skin, hair, eyes.. It carries the illustrator's style in the details.

This video aims to bring together the changing faces and appearances of Dream. It starts with the first volume and ends with the last one. Using the split screen method it mimics comic book frames, and appropriates the original speech balloons of Sandman.
