Dasvant is a noncommercial showcase for us to exhibit the work we have shot/done/distorted. It's our turn to get behind the camera. Sorry for the the glitches and mistakes.

Dasvant is derived from the word das[u]vant in Hittite language. It means blind. We have chosen it as a title for its obvious irony and as a small tribute to the cultural heritage of the land on which we live.

Shot on Dikmen Valey during a public concert.

Makes obvious that it is difficult to change focus fast.

First shots with 5D Mark II. The fish eye lens was borrowed.

The security guard made us uncomfortable, so we had to wrap sooner than we would have liked to.

More portraits and action would have been much nicer...

Hittites was the first literate civilzation in Anatolia (B.C 1650 – B.C.). At that time Anatolia was known as the Land of Hatti. Besides the Hatti City States formed by the native population, Anatolia was also on the path of settlers. The Hittite civilization is made up of a mixture of those.

The sculpture in Sihhiye Ankara was adapted from a Hatti sun course found in Alacahöyük.
Unfortunately, the sculptor Nusret Suman died on the way to the opening ceremony.

Hatti Güneş Kursu

At the beginning, the sun courses were used for astrological measurements, and later on they were used in ceremonies and rituals.
