Dasvant is a noncommercial showcase for us to exhibit the work we have shot/done/distorted. It's our turn to get behind the camera. Sorry for the the glitches and mistakes.


Dasvant is derived from the word das[u]vant in Hittite language. It means blind. We have chosen it as a title for its obvious irony and as a small tribute to the cultural heritage of the land on which we live.

5 photos produced by Can Mengilibörü using alternative printing techniques took part in "Herschel's Shadow" exhibition organized in cooperation with Ka Workshop and Club Marvy. Photos named Concordia, Somnium, Vitae, Mortem and Sanitatem were produced by Van Dyke Brown, Cyanotype, Alumitype and Ambrotype techniques.

The exhibition consists of the works of the participants of Alternative Printing Techniques Workshop under the supervision of Serdar Bilici at Ka Atölye. The exhibition can be visited between August 18 and September 27, 2018, in Atelier Marvy, Kusadasi Club Marvy.

Exhibition participants: Serdar Bilici, Bertan Gulhan, Ezgi Demirörs, East Gündoğdu, Ekin Kula, Can Mengilibörü, Naz Önen, İnan Öner, Kubra Sultan Özdemir and Erkan Yalvaç.

On July 20, an ISIL militant, infiltrating the group of youths gathered in Suruç about to depart for Kobane in an effort to help with the reconctruction of the city, detonated the bomb strapped to his body. 33 young people died. All that was left were the backpacks containing toys for the kids of Kobane.
